Our last night in the UK. After walking Cambridge all day and trying punting for the first time, we closed the chapter on our visit to the UK with a wonderful meal at Hotel du Vin, which has a bistro called Bistro du Vin. I must say, it has been difficult on a daily basis to find great food in the UK. We are spoiled in Californina with locally grown produce and exceptionally high culinary standards. This wonderful bistro in the heart of Cambridge has a great philosophy about using local suppliers for everything from eggs and cheeses and local organic flours to a local smokery for cured and smoked meats. You can enjoy a reasonably priced dinner here with great service and a great Sommelier to help with your wine selections. After dinner, you can move down into the wine cellar for a glass of port or a special Bordeaux in a cozy setting.

When I “think local” I generally don’t think of a restaurant halfway around the world from me
Pics look great though!
